So let’s recap here: Zooey Deschanel essentially named her daughter Sea Otter Pechenik (Elsie aka Elsea…). I knew she’d go with something hipster and “cute” but this is just…I don’t know. True, otters are great. Fabulous, actually. Who doesn’t love an otter? But, then again, who doesn’t love Nutella? Or diamonds? Or escalators? Adoration does not always make for a viable human baby name, n’est ce pas?
