it's incredible how much she is selling, i have never been a big fan of her music but I respect her a lot and I like "Hello" also she seems like a genuinely nice and humble human being with a lot of talent so I'm glad that she is having this huge success, I'm not quite sure about her breaking Flo-Rida's record, I honestly think she will do it but it will be harder because of the amount of people pre-ordering the album and getting the song as an instant grat.

Yeah, it's funny, but:

1. He had the best-selling song of the decade (Low) before Right Round was released.
2. The song was really commercial (for 2009 at least)
3. The song wasn't released immediately, it was held-back a few weeks like a lot of songs in the UK are, which meant on its release week it already had a fair amount of airplay and lots of people already knew the song.

The thing that annoyed me was that if I'm remembering correctly Eminem, 50 Cent and Dr. Dre broke the downloads record shortly before then Flo Rida comes along straight after and obliterates them.

They need to release another song and stop trying to recreate their previous or anyone else's success. I hated Downtown and I still hate it but I'm glad he's doing okay, he deserves the success.

Haha, I was recently reading about Right Round and how it was recorded.

It all came from an idea by someone at Atlantic who wanted his artist Flo Rida to rap over a song based on a sample from the Dead Or Alive Song, 'You Spin Me Right Round (Like A Record)'. Bruno Mars actually tried to write the song based on this idea but it didn't work out as a finished song. Then Dr Luke and Kool Kojak took over and wrote the music in terms of the actual beats. Apparently they got inspired to come up with the chorus Right Round because Flo Rida came into the studio and his entourage contained a stripper with a big ass, and it was her ass that inspired the hook and the title! LOL

When they went to get Kesha to sing her chorus on the hook, she had been drinking. So she was actually drunk when she went into the studio to sing her part on the track! LMAO

Although her part is a fundamental part of the song, Kesha didn't earn anything from the song. The stripper who inspired the song was called Cubana Lust (stripper name).

Amazing that it all came together to have such a high opening sales week.

I am pretty sure Adele's single wasn't recorded in quite the same way! LOL
