Yeah it's marketing.

The point is to get those that are in the store and want to buy both to get both.
I've NEVER bought just one album in the store unless I was on the hunt for it.
Casuals will not have a problem buying both...especially those that might not want to be pro-rihanna right now but buy because of her past work.
