When I first posted about this song, I was totally caught up in the hype and the wave of "ADELE IS BACK!!!!" that inspired from the hype. I took a bit of a step back from the hype and all of that. I listened to the song simply as a song, not as the roar of a hype machine.
I can say, after letting all of the hype die down for me, that this song is absolutely incredible, and it's for one reason: Every single time Adele's voice kicks in on this track, it moves me so much that I struggle to breathe normally. I cannot think of a current artist whose voice has made so emotional that I can't breathe. I can count on one hand the amount of artists who have caused me to be that emotional. On one hand.
9 minutes left and she's over 23m views. She broke that record BIG!!!! And that's before the final lagging numbers. Again, just a one day notice. She's just too big. Proud.
Her vocal is the only thing that could be called "amazing" "incredible" "breathe taking" in this song.
The song sounds like something off '19' but not in the better way for me.
I'm thinking about "Hometown Glory" when I'm listening to "Hello", both are simple with deeply emotions.
She's like "talking to someone" in these two songs, she didn't do too many high notes in HG, not like RITD or Hello which are going higher and higher by every second, but Hometown Glory hits in my mind so directly with it's mood.
Just my thought tho, it's really good to see her back.
