katy did it in a fun, humorous way... gaga made it seem like 'look at me, i heard the song ages ago im such good friends with the artist who's dominating the world right now!' it just leaves a bad taste imo  they look beautiful toghert tho

GaGa's tweet was her subtly flaunting that she was "cool" enough to have heard the song way back when. She could have just as well left out the "first" part of the tweet and no one would find fault. It's just her constantly trying to put herself above others that make this a little awkward.
