Welp at this being basic. Was expecting better considering her previous records. It's still a good Adelish song, but it falls way short to her previous material, let me hope there's another Rollin in the deep or Someone Like You in the album.
I told yall were overhyping her. Now she won't live up to it.
Congrats on being totally out of touch with public opinion. This song is on fire. Its the perfect comeback song for her tbh.

I like it. It's got a glossy pop veneer that appeals to my mainstream sensibilities more than probably any of her previous singles. It's a commercialized take on the typical Adele heartbreak ode, and it should rightfully dominated radio for the next year.
And I find it interesting that even this one, with its amped up genericism and Top 40 engineering, still employs a more inspired chord progression than the much-puffed "Someone Like You". That alone makes "Hello" about a million times more tolerable.
everything seems more considered and polished, the vocal recording at the start reminds of Lovesong - which she said was the best recording of her last album
It's cute, but I was expecting an instant KNOCK OUT like Vision Of Love or All By Myself. This is gonna do well of course, but if she doesn't serve us something that keeps people hooked like RITD or Set Fire To The Rain her next era is gonna be the beginning of her fading. I hope the rest of the album is fire.
