Yeah, but it's not normal for them! I think One Direction have probably managed it a couple times, maybe Justin Bieber, maybe a few others like Eminem or Lil Wayne. But most of the time their singles don't do that well straight away.
Taylor Swift does the best on downloads of any artist on release days. Surely you know that? Even all her album tracks shoot straight into the top 10. Nobody compares to her. Other artists have a lower standard.
It's normal for lead singles of major artists at least. The song hasn't even cracked the top 10 yet and more than an hour has already passed.
Justin just RAN Sorry is a massive bop so he deserves all the success it will get. Will he block Adele? I haven't heard Hello yet will probably love it tbh
