Host commentary - I’m not gonna lie. I only gave this song a 10 just because I wanted to break its tie with Arioso since it was the last song left on I’m Breathless. I think it is a good ballad, but the best song on the album? No. I honestly think it lasted the longest just because of its association with the ballad compilation of the same name. Sooner or Later or Back In Business should have really outlasted it. That being said it is a gorgeous ballad.
Guest commentary Reinvention – a fairly solid track but this album’s standards!
Quicksand– This song breaks my heart. The emotion in her voice is so heartbreaking :’( One of the most underrated songs of her career.
This is a song I've grown to love.
I used to think of it as a boring and uninspired song and always skipped it.
but once I realized how great the lyrics are it became one of my faves.
Still think the melody is a tad weak tho....
