The Grammys does not put critical acclaim into whatever wins. They use their own metric of acclaim. Otherwise, Falling Into You by Celine wouldn't have even been nominated let alone win. But that album is great, critics were pressed.
I still can't believe Alessia Cara's team submitted "Here" to pop
That is like the most soul/Urban sounding song in awhile. I literally thought she was black a la Jazmine Sullivan.
I think the Grammys are still pretty respectable no? At least they have an aura of star quality that the Emmys and Tonys lack, with the Tonys being the most inclusive (they are also the best awards show to watch). Nothing touches the Academy Awards though. There is a reason only a select few get invited to return, like Lady GaGa twice in a row.
Life(time Conservatorship) has taken everything else away from Deadney: her rights, her sanity, her hair, her knee, the full custody of her kids, etc, etc.
Let her have this.
If only someone could put one on the Rat for fear that she might endorse another corrupt political leader out of ignorance of her own agenda.
An event (I assume) happened about Tidal last night with Beyoki, Nazi and Assher included. I think Beyonce downgraded herself again performing with has-beens. Oh God I remember when she was only collabing with A-listers.
End of the year/decade lists >>>> Metacritic anyway
Aren't those lists picked out by one person, though? I don't see how it's different than the reviews from any other critic included in a Metacritic score. At the end of the day, "acclaim" is something given by a select group of people.
