Host commentary - I was actually a little shocked when I saw this placed so low. It has never been my favorite from MDNA, but I was under the impression that it was a fan fave of that album. I like the lyrics, but I don't love how her voice is buried under the production for this. I think a more refined sound of songs like this and I'm Addicted mixed with synth ballads like Falling Free could have made MDNA a better album though.
Guest commentary mrmikefern - Fast-food ****ography BOP! A mess but I love ha.
Eeveelution- Some songs have tragic production. Some songs have tragic vocals. Some songs have tragic lyrics. Some songs have all three!
eli’s_rhythm - much like “I’m So Stupid,” it’s unlistenable from the beginning. The difference is that it doesn’t improve from there
Host commentary - This one tackles a lot of themes already addressed in Erotica so I can see why it was cut, but I love it. I think with some polish this one would be a certified gem in her discography. Other that GTI (which isn't really a demo tbh), this is my favorite unreleased Erotica song.
Guest commentary HonourableVomit - Now it's a damn SHAA-AA-AA-AAME that this wasn't finished and cleaned up because I adore this feel-good 90s perfection. It's got everything you'd want from Madonna: Empowerment, dance beats, charisma, side-eye, lowkey bitchy "All dressed up, nowhere to go" sass. Better, catchier and classier than Thief Of Hearts!
Reinvention - It’s a “shame” this song was ever made – Madonna ha vocals sound so phoned in
Eeveelution - Falling asleep rn, had to check a bedtime stories song hadn't come on autoplay
