I didn't say he was going to slay commercially but I do think his solo material is going to be much better than what he released with 1D in terms of quality.
I enjoy some of 1D's songs but they can do so much better.

Based off of the music we've already heard from him this will not be the case. Zayn is a model not a popstar.
