It's not a problem, it's just hard to answer some questions when we have 5 judges with very different opinions.
As far as I'm concerned, I have no problem with people submitting bop lyrics if they're great lyrics. I can't stress enough that this is a
lyric competition, no amount of production/melody/how much of a bop that would ignite pop radio it sounds like in your head will matter if the lyrics are still so-so.
It's generally "easier" to go for a more serious style of lyricism because it's often hard to write the pop bop type songs without them coming off as contrived or making seem extra special, but if you can do it, as I've always said, I don't judge based on genre or style, I judge based on the lyrics.
