To me it feels like this:
Adele is recording a new album.
Now that we can't have her sing about her failed relationship, let's find the next most depressing thing in her life to release so we can move units.
Adele has become the face of sad ballads, and her label probably thought best to stay with that formula.
It's just disappointing. And this is coming from someone who knew Adele before 21 and was posting in her album threads before 21 was even released.
