"They say time's supposed to heal ya". I unlock my phone to see a GIF of Safari & his new hairline laughing like a madman. I look helplessly at my own reflection & don't recognise myself because of the shock & lack of wig.

"But I ain't done much healing". I drop to my knees & scramble along the floor to find where my wig went after being snatched. My phone is at my ear but the line is busy because Gaga is already calling the police about a pop emergency.

I look up & see two dots. I assume the foetal position & pray through my whimperings.

I can't @ her surprise releasing a snippet on television.

Based on how the lyrics sound, I'm interpreting it as a song dedicated to her estranged father. Back in 2013, he was diagnosed with bowel cancer and begging Adele to forgive him so that he could spend time with his grandson before he died, if he doesn't survive the cancer, so it's very likely that it's about that.
