Lol, if you're going to use "no artistic growth" you better be ready to call out the majority of the pop landscape. All these "artistic" girls y'all claim as better have been doing the same thing for years. Popular artists, for the most part, tend to build on a signature sound so people know exactly where something they hear comes from.

Most of our current pop girls wouldn't be here today without being repetitive.

!!! All pop artists have a certain schtick, tbh. Like someone said, it's essential to build up their brand and their image. I wouldn't call it repetitive and its not drag worthy, its simply their bread and butter. if the music is consistently good then whatever.

Katy Perry is repetitive (and so are a lot of other pop stars), and that's just the way it is. It's fine.

But I agree with several posts so far that state that Adele is even more repetitive than Katy Perry.

To those of your arguing the repetitive "it's just a snippet" angle: has there ever been a moment in current music history when a snippet has been released by the artist or label and the fully-released song turned out entirely different than the snippet?
