has been presented by some outlets as P.O.D. with Perry as a "back-up singer" -- a description the band vehemently disputes. "As guitarist Marcos Curiel said in a statement to Rolling Stone, "This is revisionist history and disrespectful to our girl Katy who was NEVER a backup singer...We invited her to participate on our record as she was and is still is one of the few pop artists with strong musicianship roots."
The song was released back in 2006. I remember hearing the song many times before, but never realized back then who the female singing at the end was (until now obviously, I found out that it was Katy at the end a few years ago (2011)
Omg I still can't get over the comments on that article. The GP (and not fans who create accounts on like Metacritic to solely give their faves a 10 on some flop venture) are defending her against the obviously spiteful writer.

I'm friends with a bunch of people in the campaign. I sent the link to Media Matters, Correct The Record, her traveling press, and her press secretary, Brian. Hopefully they'll take action.
I'm so ****ing mad. That article has NO integrity whatsoever. **** her
Who cares? I actually found it quite funny to be honest, the amount of effort she put into it and the fact she was waiting for the right moment to publish it And everyone dragged her in the comments anyway
