Agree. Summertime Sadness is such a great song and all the GP in America knows is that god awful remix. It's crazy. At least here the original was a hit.

OK, now that's TH and HB are selling +/- the same... and HB will be higher as the week continues... this was the week he could have done it. The radio gap isn't too big anymore and with 5M more streams the number 1 on BB was on lock... I don't get his management at all, what are u waiting for!?!? Next week is the last one for him anyway!

True. Maybe something will happen and he'll get to number one. But that's kind of how it goes with him.

Oh well though. At the end of the day, the difference in position doesn't really matter that much, the song was still a big hit and a surprise success so that's still pretty cool.

But 2 days ago he said it is the biggest dream of his life so what's the problem? The timing now is perfect. The video was shot 3 weeks ago... I mean... It's a stupid move. Really sad for him. It's his biggest hit in his carrercareer, top 3 on UK also.

I believe the sales are pretty split, actually. The original spent a good time in Top 20/30/40 during the remix success. At September 2013 the sales were 1.1 million, the remix accounting for a little less than half (512k).

Likewise it helped her album sell a lot more than it would've. So it exposed her in a good way.

It was a blessing and a curse overall though. Would've been great for the original to have hit radio and stations being accustomed to her original sound.

1D never had that "downward spiral". They're like the Beatles, they were still on top of the world when they broke up. Social media really helped them thrive from the cradle to the grave.
