I can't believe I've only realized now that you're not supposed to make your sims go swimming when they still have the "Fatigued" moodlet. I sent mine to the pool and the "Drowning" moodlet popped up just as he got in the water. I was like, "What's this??" but I kept him in the pool anyway and when the timer runs out he drowned for real & died. I feel like I just wasted like half an hour playing the game just to exit without saving. I'm so mad

The Sims 2 is a lot of fun still. The loading screens take about five to ten seconds and that is about it. It's not the forty-five to an hour long wait that The Sims 3 happens to use.
TS2 is one of the best because it has a great storyline and plot. It also offers continuity throughout most the neighborhoods and expansions i.e. Bella Goth. TS3 slacked in this department because it was a back story to TS1 and with the way the game was set up the story line was very loose and almost nonexistent. However the features TS3 offer are much better than what TS2 can ever do.
And say what you want about the game, but I think it's obvious there's a disconnect between the game and fans. I wouldn't be surprised if they release the "main" EPs: weather, vacation, generations, and pets and call it a day. Mark my words of TS5 does it happen it'll be here a lot sooner than any installation in the series.

Nah, EA said it's their most profitable game right now. And it will take five or so years to develop the next one so EA want that income.

What's so great about TS2? Hearing about the loading screen sounds annoying. Is there like a storyline? Idgi.
The loading screens are worth it because the lots are more in depth than anything before or after the game. The world around you is so alive and is there is a lot to do. I love going to the Bicentennial Gardens and being seated at the restaurant. It adds a level of realism to the game that hasn't been present since.
It's still the pits, icon TS3 + legend TS2 remain unbothered by rookie TS4.

TS2 sims look much worse than TS3 sims even with 10 years of CC TS3 a year in is miles ahead of TS4 a year in. #fact.
That's scary because that means TS5 could be as bad or worse
The Sims can still have a massive TS2/TS3 sized era, if the game is right. So I feel like they know that if they put more money into the game, they'll get more back. The only reason TS4 is not selling like previous games is because they assumed TS fans were sheep (some are) and would buy the game regardless of how poorly made it was. Luckily TS4 is lowkey flopping so that'll motivate them for TS5.
