she's a superb writer which makes it clear this wasn't her doing.
I honestly think THIS IS WHAT TRANSPIRED.
post breakdown
Circus was supposed to be the Teenage dream era but then gaga happened.
Britney knew she'd happen but her label slept on gaga thinking it wouldn't be as huge so they got lazy.
Had they not been lazy resting on comeback hype Unusual you would have been a single
so nonetheless her tour was amazingly successful and she was back in the good grace.
3 debuts at #1 making Britney even MORE comfortable aka lazy.
She then took direction with FF to be more artistic and less commercial. Label wanted to play it safe so Dr. Luke took the good news of august 2010 and watered it down into a commercial delight.
Britney wasn't mad but she wasn't feeling it as much.
Hold it against me debuts with monster numbers.
For some reason Britney actually liked Big fat bass but the early indications was that it wasn't going to be a hit so that's the 2nd time that era things change and they aim for basic TTWE for which she wasn't a huge fan
Britney gets lazy as she is not 100% into it nor does she think she has to do much since HIAM had huge numbers.
She lazily gains weight. She lazily "promotes" and the era
FF still goes platinum but her team and even britney starts to see the cracks in the foundation.
The circus comeback hype only lasts but so long.
She works on the album KNOWING the urban sound following Scream and shout would be the smartest way to go. She's into it. there's even a wiz khalifa song.
The direction changes.
So they THINK that if they conceptualize an album that is less about dance and the sound of the moment and has a classic "personal" feel that it would win. they know that FF numbers showed success but that it was the last time she could really get away with it.
So now she's phoning it in with myah as her doppelganger in the studio.
But she's supposed to present a "personal" image to align with her residency show
but she doesn't really have any passion because her personal life had no oomph.
We get Britney Jean which sounds like a PARODY of what a non fan would create as a "personal" britney spears album...
There's more...bwahahahaha
