I think ya'll just want to believe it - that someone has any clue when you lack of information. It's understandable at least. I guess they have some clues, cuz they have connections with label, but I think you're overestimating their knowledge
like, someone from Rihanna's camp told them about album cover showcase party a day or two before so they could organize a fans' meeting. Or maybe some insiders share their suppositions about time of the release, like "most likely in Q2". I honestly don't think RDaily knew for sure about the release dates back in spring - there were different rumors circulating through different sites tho - maybe someone (from insiders) mislead them, and now they're saving face with teases that lead everyone to conclusion that they did everything as they intended. I think so because I've seen some examples that put my guard on, for example, "she scrapped the visual concept" assumptions (although she worked with Roy Nachum on it since 2014, how, I mean, she could've "scrapped" smth from it?..) Also, I was told by one guy linked to Universal that R8 (time before Anti) "was intented to come out before the end of 2015, no more infos we know" - call me a reliable source then or smth... Everything is kept in secret. Sharing extra infos w/ fansite? Doubt it. Maybe blurry/necessary minimum/last minute only
(Of course if Rih decided to preview the album on RDaily exclusively - which I doubt - I'd change my opinion
