I'll break it down...see what i did there.
Britney became addicted to the attention and began doing things knowing it would get her attention even if negative because she pushed her loved ones away and had no other positive reinforcement so even negative reinforcement was better than nothing.
So shading her best work (ITZ) is like saying...I won't get attention unless i say something outrageous for which i know most of my audience won't agree to but it's better than no attention.
