I cannot picture Jessica in Gaga's role at all. Jessica would have had Sarah's role, which likely would have been altered to make Jessica more of the lead - whereas The Countess would have been a two part cameo appearance portrayed by Gaga. I think people want to see Jessica in whatever lead, even when it doesn't fit.

I just rewatched the episode and I love it more than I realized. It is oddly seductive and the characters are really interesting. It feels like an ensemble cast and I am interested to see where things go. The 80s vibe to it is what attracts me to it.

This. I can't really imagine Jessica as The Countess; I think Gaga suits the role quite well despite some uneven acting.

I can handle anything gruesome (dismemberment, bad cuts, gore) but something about anything throat freaks me the **** out. It makes me so nervous and uncomfortable. I had to close my eyes twice during the premiere.

My grandma literally cringed and screamed when Gaga and Matt killed that couple and when Gaga slit the girls throat when we watched it together today. I was laughing at her reaction

I think that Constance and Jude are not similar to Fiona and Elsa hence why they were Jessica's best character. If Ryan is unable to write anything else for Jessica but a strong HBIC-like woman, at least he could write her a character as strong as Jude.

I'm excited to see more of the Countess, Liz, Donovan, Sally, and John They were my favourite characters from the premiere.

Kathy as Iris was a little disappointing excluding her final scene with Sally and Donovan.

After re-watching the episode I definitely think it is the most similar to MH. The storyline makes a lot more sense to me. It definitely did had a plot - I think the main issue with it was the editing and how the scenes were placed.

I'm still upset about the Trumpet mistake with Gaga her scene. Ugh it's so annoying that I will never unsee it and will always notice it when I watch.

I don't understand why the couldn't cover it properly they better not mess up again !!!

The throat slitting only grossed me out when you could see the separated skin in the sex scene, what really got me was the guy with his eyes and tongue removed. Imagine being ALIVE while experiencing that?

When Gaga and Matt are walking in the cemetery you can see a bit of her trumpet tattoo. Half of its covered but it looks like the make up was wearing off.

Rewatching. I'm at the orgy scene. It really was fantastic.

But I'm not a fan of the Tarantino-esque gore. I don't think it works hat well with AHS, but it's not that big of a presence, so I'm not that bothered.

And I really love how Gaga delivered her first two lines there.
