It was meant to. Like, media loves Kanye, like it or not. They think he's "artsy" et cetera, and goddamn, they were talking so much about him prior to Robz when she made her own body of work... like before Diamond Ball auction, when headlines were saying "Rihanna accidentally announced Kanye's tour!" although she also sold tickets to
her own tour show first (and this lot was the most expensive). Or when FFS was released... like, "Look, Kanye has a new video!", "Kanye will perform his new song with that guy Paul McCartney and model newbie Rhenna"- esque ish which made me mad as рhuck. I don't remember if I told somewhere on ATRL/Twitter or even VK that any creative success of an album will be applied to Kanye by most of "critics" just because he claimed he's one of "executive producers", but I definitely thought so. Still, this might be a good thing - good critic grades from skeptics...

And yes, I think it's gonna be released without proper prior announce instead of leaks. I don't think we should call the whole situation "surprise release" in any way. We know what's gonna be, we're hyping for that, bleeding for that
