If she truly is doing a dance album I want Max to be gone completely. I want her to have Klas and Duke for new material that's not recycled and fits a deep house vibe. She could bring in Diplo if she wants, but if Luke is gonna be on it I want it very minimalistic for a DH or 2.

Personally, I feel like Katy should stick with Max/Luke, she has a style that works REALLY well for her and I think it would be a huge mistake for her to abandon it
Walking On Air is perfection but it's rather campy and you can tell that camp comes from Max Martin. Anyway, excited for her dance album. Smart of her to focus on international audiences as they don't care much about age. All she needs is good music. Nothing less, nothing more. Not even the lyrics matter. The music just has to be good.
We could be looking at 5 + 6.7 + 4 = 15.7M. Plus that 5M figure for OOTB is from 2010 (although nobody knows if it's even legit so let's not inflate). She's definitely at 15M either way, so I don't know why people try to discredit her with "she hasn't even sold 15M albums" when she clearly has.
...
I'm good with her ditching Max and Luke next era, but we all know she won't. Capitol won't allow it.
Tbh I don't think Capitol has ever really forced any demands on her. Keep in mind she decided she wanted to become a pop star in 2006, so her vision for commercial success has always lined up and pleased Capitol. Even when she wants to do a record that's more thematic, she'll still make sure the bops on there because she loves making pop music. See: PRISM.
If she can make equally catchy bops with other producers, I don't think Capitol would have any problem. Besides, smaller producers are cheaper.
Anyway, I also don't think she'll put out anything that isn't catchy radio material until her hit-making days are over.
She just isn't that kind of artist.
Of course they care. First and foremost they want something that is going to bring in the dollars for them. If they think Luke and Max are guaranteed to do that, they'll encourage her to work with them.
Sounds good to me. Three #1s and a Top 10. I'd be a very happy stan.
I still find it strange that California King Bed and Man Down have hundreds of millions of YouTube views despite flopping in the US, yet S&M hit #1 and is yet to be VEVO certified. Europe their power. (It was probably an age restriction thing, but yeah.)
