I loved the premiere. I thought Gaga was amazing, Sarah Paulson also gave an amazing performance. The little kids are so creepy.

The foursome scene was hot and also disgusting.

I also kinda get the vibe of The Lost Boys from Hotel, which is weird because I just watched The Lost Boys for the very first time ever yesterday.

Anyway this is the first time I am watching and reading opinions and some people are ruining it for me And I can't help but notice some of the haters being regulars with their hating on Gaga. How am I supposed not to get defensive ?

And how can you say based on the first episode that the storyline will be basic ? It's anything, but basic, in fact it's the opposite - complex. And that might be a problem, not saying it's good. But how is it basic ? At least elaborate.

Some people saying "too many things are happening" others saying "storyline is basic" I can't help but think that y'all are just giving amature opinions idk

I'll try to tone it down idk I may even stop coming here, if Im going to see only negativity (tho this thread seems to be the best, the other thread of the reviews etc. is full of usual Gaga haters and it's so annoying)...

What do you guys think the ratings will be ? To those who were watching live, was there a huge discussion on Twitter etc. was there a lot of buzz ?

too many BASIC things are happening. that's the problem

I hope the story gets deeper. this vampire resurrection thing seems tired and overdone

Anyway I am going through that thread from hours ago when the episode aired and I am so glad that most of the original members here (I mean the ones that didn't flock during the premiere) enjoyed the show.

I seem to agree with XO's and some others comments the most. It's an ensamble cast and there are a lot of different storylines. But at least they are related in a way. I think this will play out very well !

But it was already confirmed that she was gonna use some clothing from her own collection and I remember not everyone being thrilled for this some pages way back.

tbh, even though I am a gaga sheep I'll rate this episode as 6/10.

the story seems predictable and the horror doesn't leave too much on the imagination. it's just so out there and not so scary at all

given, there are lots of story arcs to be explored later on it didn't make sense as of now and the episode didn't give any hint on how it all ties up or at least makes you more interested on it. kinda messy

the visuals are subpar compared to coven, tbh. I don't really like the vibe of the hotel. it seems so artificial and claustrophobic (not in a scary way)

It's an 80s horror staple for me! This season opener reminded me of it a bit, especially when Gaga was on the bed in the flash back.

That was an absolute disaster. One of the worst episodes of the show ever.
Chloe Sevigny was impeccable as always and definitely the true star of the show.
Gaga was good until she actually had to deliver more than 2 lines.
What a joke. No wonder it's critically PANNED.
