To be honest, I can see the show getting dropped from Fox and either moving to FX (which means it can be three times raunchier / bloodier) or becoming a Netflix exclusive. The fanbase is obviously there.
Not yet, but considering FX's huge success with Ryan Murphy's shows, they're likely to throw him a bone and pick it up. It could easily fit in with their programming, and I've been saying from the first episode that it feels like an FX show.
And keep in mind that when you move from network to cable, you usually lose a substantial chunk of your audience.
Like Cougar Town went down 33% when it moved to TBS. Given how low this show is already with likely more falls to come, that doesn't really seem worth picking up.
American Dad's move made it drop 64%.
