Yeah, as excited as I'm getting (y'all can finally hop off cuz I'm not gonna keep battling you all even though I still genuinely question if Gaga can act or not and my entire opinion hinges on the answer to that question that we may not even get on Wednesday), I'm not buying this.
Reviews are complimenting her acting but then say she has minimal lines and is mostly a visual entity? And not even a Spalding type of mute character, but basically a glorified model (see the bold part).
That's fishy to me.
So basically they're just using her because Gaga has a "horror" imagine and to bring in viewers?
I hope thats not true and AHS keeps it's integrity.

Like some people were saying, maybe her character will develop throughout the show.
It makes sense Gaga won't have a lot acting in the first episode considering she didn't arrive on set until like a month after all the other cast members begun filming. Her character will develop, weren't we already promised a back story, and now she will appear in all 13 episodes. I'm not worried. She also has 6 whole minutes dedicated to her in the first episode, granted it's been described as a "silent movie", but we're for sure going to see her delve deep, the actors have described scenes with her, Evan said something like he is unsure whether or not she is going to slap him during a monologue, because she gets that into character.
Also I really think Gaga is trying to find her feet, and find herself as an actress, and this is just the beginning for her. Like she said on the red carpet at the premiere, she spoke about trying to be authentic, and not robotic, and she finds the love scenes quite easier to do, because she must be in that moment, and real. So I'm sure she has had moments, where it's been that way, but I'm sure through this experience her acting is a growing process. It also helps to have such magnificent cast members, who are brilliant at what they do, so she somewhat helps the shows, and the show somewhat helps her. It's a win, win.

We are obviously going to be left wanting more of Gaga after episode 1, and will be unsatisfied with the amount they gave of The Countess after all the teasing, I can see it now.

Well, I mean, one of the executive producers of the show said she was going to be only in 8, and she missed a whole month of filming. But we'll wait and see.
