The THR review was good or at least better than Freakshow so at least it seems like that is a consensus. The cast all got praised, said the production design was fantastic, but they are worried about the overarching plot.
As long as the show gets decent ratings and is perceived by the public to be a step up from Freakshow, everything should be fine.
