Yep! Rate 1 would be the 6s and the 7s, 2 would be the 5s, and 3 would be the 4s. This feels very you sister!

I think 75 is good! I'd definitely participate and it would be refreshingly different from a lot of rates that we usually have. I think it's actually quite rare that we do artists from decades before the '90s.

The artists would be: Joni Mitchell, Carole King, Patti Smith, Laura Nyro, Carly Simon, Dolly Parton, and Kate Bush. Participants would have to listen to the most acclaimed album from each of these ladies.
Joni Mitchell - Blue
Carole King - Tapestry
Patti Smith - Horses
Laura Nyro - Eli and the Thirteenth Confession
Carly Simon - No Secrets
Dolly Parton - Coat of Many Colors
Kate Bush - Hounds of Love (I know Hounds of Love was released in 1985, but Kate released music in the 70s as well.)
Opinions?

What about Janis Joplin's "Pearl"?

Would I be able to host something Polly Jean-related soon? It's quite overdue.

You know what would be a good rate idea?
Rating Live Lounge covers! We could take it year by year.

Totally here for this. It would be so great.
After I finish the Madonna rate I kind of want to do a "Comeback albums of the 80s rate" I was thinking like some combo of Diana Ross' Diana vs Tina Turner's Private Dancer vs Cher's Cher vs Aretha Franklin's Who's Zoomin' Who? vs Donna Summers' She Works Hard For the Money vs Barbra Streisand's Guilty. Idk what, if any, of those have been used yet. They all were albums that brought them back to the forefront after career lulls.

Wouldn't Another Place, Another Time be a better option? And Private Dancer was used in the 84 rate.
Also, is Quicksand the one doing the Unbreakable/Rebel Heart/Me, I Am Mariah ... The Elusive Chanteuse/Kiss Me Once rate?
Poor KMO.
