About it being the title of the song, yes. But it was something the producer, Nile Rogers, and others were hashtagging. So ultimately I think it referred to the aesthetic of Gaga doing a funk/disco classic. They were funking the punk (a.k.a. gaga) I guess? Idk. Maybe its a tip to the next era as well. Time will tell.

Also, like has been said on this thread, I think "Funk the punk" it's more like the essence of the album.

Gaga being the Punk but going on a funky route, so maybe that's why the people working with her are hashtagging and talking about it.
