I definitely agree. She could've even kept the deep vocals and added higher vocals on top and that would've been great.

To be fair it wouldn't be a huge stretch to say a few songs on ARTPOP sound disco-esque. Sexxx Dreams, ARTPOP, Fashion! Even Do What U Want.
