At the time I doubt they actually believed the guy would go and do it. There are a lot of troll threads like that on 4chan and you almost always have people acting that way to be funny. Doesn't mean they actually wanted people dead and it's likely they wouldn't have acted like that had they known.

You know it's bad when I pretty much don't care. I mean, it's not that I don't care, consciously I realize this is terrible and feel for the victims. But like, another day, another mass shooting in the US lawmakers don't care, 50% of the population (gun nuts and 2nd amendment stans) doesn't care, just... At this point I'm fully desensitized.

They won't. It's their freedom of speech. They can't be arrested when they haven't done anything. Only the shooter who created the thread will be arrested.
