Virginia declared a state of emergency ahead of the storm. There is an anticipated nor'easter on Friday/Saturday and then Joaquin on Sunday/Monday. After the rain yesterday, this will be very interesting and cool.

The lack of wind shear isn't slowing down the progression of the storm, which is being steered directly along the coast because of two parallel guiding winds. It's expected to grow to category 3, but even if it fell apart before hitting the coast, it's remnants combined with the nor'easter that's supposed to hit can still be dangerous.
