Yeah, I tried with The Weeknd's mixtapes when he first started gaining traction on Tumblr. He's never been my thing ever. I would always feel unclean after listening to one of his songs, no matter how hard I scrubbed.

he basically takes kanye's 808s lyrical formula and makes it sound ten times more banal. i am glad that kendrick will be looked back on as an era-defining artist whereas drake will be seen as a mere fashion trend though

Well, if you're comparing every show to Empire, then yeah, no one is thinking about his shows or any shows on TV that are not The Big Bang Theory, Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead at least in US
