Nobody wants to be "just" anything. But she's still an R&B singer and she clearly tries to cater to the Urban market, moreso than pop.

Anyway we don't know about Player lyrical content yet, maybe Tee wrote a killer line for this one.
We all know why people are annoyed. Chris has a reputation for being a ****. It's understandable.
It's really not. His "reputation" has nothing to do with him as an artist. And clearly Tinashe (or anyone else) doesn't give a ****. The "why Chris Brown" comments over every collaboration are literally pointless. It's 2015. People clearly still use him, he's clearly still popular. He's going to be worked with. Get over it.

Player is better than Don't Kill The Fun in my opinion.
I would say however, Don't Kill The Fun is closest possible comparison to this song. If you took DKTF and Drop It Low by Ester Dean and blended them together. Player is right in a sweet spot between those two.
