None of this is true and MIA was never an artist built for the mainstream unlike your lobotomy'd cookie cutter fave. She's always had a message driven by innovation and the lack of WW attention on her home turf (this includes Jimmy, a song where she uses her heritage and brings it to a WW audience, unlike Toxic which appropriates it to sound "edgy" and envelope pushing). Please don't talk about what you don't know while relentlessly referencing a years-old obviously biased NYT article
