Seriously. Madonna gets dragged if she debuts at #2 behind the Empire soundtrack. It's a compliment because she's still expected to commercially perform after 32 years, and she's expected to be able to compete with the current generation. No one blinks when most of her contemporaries get a cute #115 debut with that critical 'return to form' record, but if she doesn't come in at one, there are articles about 'what went wrong'

I was listening to American Life, and I think I found my light in "Nobody Knows Me" because I see myself in that song! The lyrcis are so damn good, and the futuristic dark electronic music is so flawless! Omg, and I watched Re-Invention tour where she only performed American Life and Nobody Knows Me, and I thought the tour was a flop because the stage looked so small and the costumes looked tragic based on pictures I've seen in this thread! Boy was I wrong, I'mma have to watch the full Re-Invention Tour because I was SLAYED just by those two performances!

Idk, Alan's was the only really tragic one imo. There were a few that I was like "ew, what a waste" for, but I could see why people might enjoy them. A lot went to tracks that were fairly obvious. I can't fault them for their choices though because they picked amazing songs. Dark Miracles, HonourableVomit, and Lifeline have my favorite 11 choices so far, just because they all picked really solid underrated tracks that don't really stand a chance of winning.

I bet it was Incredible? If so he is a damn mess knowing full well that song will get at least three 0s.
