Actually the thought process was "hmm my beloved Runnin' still isn't top 50 on UK Spotify, let me check Buzzjack to see where it is", and then "oh wow someone posted the playlist to the top 100 in the UK, I didn't know that's how they get it", and then I realized I could automate the fetching of these playlists and add it to my site, so I started coding it.

Nope, try again. Britney and Beyoncé never went head to head in the same way Katy and Gaga did.
Britney was also still as big of a star as she's always been, despite Beyoncé selling more. Britney losing steam had nothing to do with Beyoncé. Two completely different situations.
