Papa Don't Preach and Like A Prayer were songs that targeted specific issues going on within the Catholic Church and actually had people talking about those issues (Sinéad was the other one). Nowadays it feels cheap and hollow. Maybe if she specifically targeted the Catholic attitude toward gays since that's the only real issue with their policies these days. That and abortion still.
