As much as I love Madead, why did she change so much?
She looked so mature and sophisticated! What happened now?
Motherhood birthed maturity, radiance, and intelligence. And then fifteen years later, it also birthed the beginning of her "cool mom" era. I think we are almost out of it though. Rebel Heart was much more mature than MDNÉ and Hard Candy. She'll probably return to Bedtime Stories/Ray Of Light music by her 60s.

Oh yes, you're right.
I honestly cannot wait for her next album! she's going to be 59-60

Wild Beyoncé feels just as, if not more, forced on her than any other emotion that she can't emit. Sensual R&B gems with a subtle balladic leaning is the thing she's best at. That's why songs like Superpower, Dance for You, etc. work well for her.
It's a shame MDNÉ was the worst studio album released by any pop act of this decade, the imagery is the greatest of her career and the tour was amazing.

Joan of Arc and Wash All Over Me are proof that Madonna is more self-aware and reflective than we think she is at this stage of her career. I wouldn't be shocked if the next album ended up being one of her most intimate and greatest works.
I also hope Madonna returns to a mature sound. This three lackluster album punch out (Hard Candy, MDNA, and Rebel Heart) has been bad for her discography.
