I think Chanel and Ms. Bean planned it the entire time. Chanel told Ms. Bean that she was going to cause a scene where she would throw her in the fryer and fake burn her face off. So there had to be something to cause this confrontation. So I think Chanel / Ms. Bean put up the collage and left the door purposely open so one of the Chanels could find it and thus cause the confrontation where only Chanel and Ms. Bean knew what was happening. This would be logical since not letting either of the other Chanels know about what's going on only seals the deal to seem even more realistic instead of possibly one of the girls messing up the plan.

Wait I need to rewatch episode 2 I didn't pay attention to the text message, but I don't think it's Chanel because even if she lied about being attacked - the devil still killed Shondell who was outside in the car when Chanel was in the house.

It has to be someone else doing the killing or at least involved. It's probably Chad/Pete and Boone working together. It could be Dean Munch too.

To be fair, Chanel obviously has a helper (Boone, and potentially someone else) Scream MTV did the exact same thing. The killer "attacked" the main killer and someone else, "proving" his/her innocence. But it was really just the partner attacking so the main killer had an alibi

There is a 0% chance it's Pete or Dean Munsch IMO. The show is trying too hard to make them suspicious. Chad is possible but unlikely, they seem to be setting him up for genuine character development. And again, it has to be one of the Chanels. Only those three knew that #2 was leaving. One needs to be involved. #3 isn't going to be important enough, so that leaves #5 and Oberlin. Look for whoever gets more redherrings thrown her way, it'll be the opposite one

It's important to remember that "too obvious" only works when the show is actively throwing suspicion on someone (for example, Pete and Cathy) The show hasn't once thrown suspicion on Chanel, which is exactly why I'm sure it's her, so unless they're reverse-psyching us.

I'm sticking with Melanie or Wes. We've been told time and time again that the plot deals with revenge and that 1995 party. There's a good chance that the most notably motherless character, Grace, could be the baby from the party and her father's hate for sororities can be connected to her mother's death due to her sisters' negligence, and it makes sense that he'd be trying to destroy it while leaving her alone (remember how she saw the Red Devil stalking her and he never made a move on her). If it's not him, it seems awfully suspicious that the girl who disliked Chanel so much is brought up in scenes like an entire flashback but is nowhere to be seen otherwise. If they're intent on making it a "main" cast member, I'm almost certain it's Wes, and that's based more on concrete connections than how the show's direction and writing treats anyone.

It's possible the red devil was somehow listening in, but it makes a million times more sense for one of the Chanels to be involved, and usually stuff like this is meant to be a hint. One of them is tied to it.

Didn't think of that, but yeah. Chanel O. would even have motive to murder her. Melanie being attacked by the red devil also makes, like, no sense unless it's Oberlin. Why would the red devil just attack her, let Chanel ascend to power, and then take a year long break?

The ONLY hard evidence that it's #1 is that the Red Devil attacked Melanie. No way in hell is Wes not a murderer, he has by far the strongest motive and ties to the party if it was Grace's mom who died there.

Well, yeah. I think it's safe to say there's two killers at least considering the end of Ep 2. Lol

There's no HARD evidence that anyone is a killer except Boone, for obvious reasons. As for Wes, as I said, he's possible for now, but we'll have to gauge how much suspicion the show throws on him. I don't think Grace is the baby though.
