Regardless of how important or unimportant poptards think it is. It still greatly separates artists like Ariana from Rihanna to other people and is important outside of Pop forums. Hence a large part of the reason why Ariana is even recording music in the first place and a large majority of the attention when it comes to her and her music is the huge soulful voice she has within her little frame.
The radio fodder is helpful but a big part of what made Ari and separated her from the rest (especially from the rest of the television tween stars trying to sing) is her voice.
