Adele's already cut the album down (hence why Sia is releasing Alive at the last minute and why Damon Albarn was pressed) and HDD had said that was literally the last thing she had to do.

Sia's track didnt make it :/ obviously and hence shes releasing it now as her lead single. When its out notive the lyrics right away,as it seems its a comeback single and the lyrics are about Adele's life since it was written with her. Damon's work probably got cut as well as to why he is so vocal and pressed about the tracks which he have heard on the album.
