I think 1D had the standard and deluxe versions charting well. So maybe combined it was higher. Plus I thought they passed Drake/Future for a few hours at least.

Drake put out a surprise digital release. Those things are frontloaded.

I would expect them to be including physical preorders, too. The pop girl stans need to take notes.

Well when the album went up the deluxe was #2 and standard #4 (according to Kworb 24 hours ago stat). It mentions the two versions in the article..

Instants aren't shown on iTunes anymore either. So if you consider those who purchased Infinity and Drag Me Down jumping back to the top ten, 100k isn't hard to achieve.

Also how do you figure Drake/Future sold "way less" than 100k in day one when it's an iTunes exclusive and doing 360-380k in just four days? Initially 500k p/d. It had to have done close to if not over 100k to get those huge numbers guaranteed.
