As far as old songs go, I'm really familiar with loads of the one hit wonder type hits from the 70s-90s but not the discographies or some of the hit singles of the pop girls of the time.
It's why songs like Gangnam Style will end up being more remembered than most pop girl songs from this decade to the kids who will grow up next decade.
I will listen to it when I finish Six Feet Under. Your taste is correct 99% of the time (Bieber being the 1%).
My favorite Madonna albums are Bedtime Stories and Ray of Light but Erotica was the one I finally sat down and listened to for the first time. You may not like it, idk, but it is pretty beloved on ATRL for an album that was pretty divisive back in the day.
The irony with Posh Spice was that the only time she looked cool and actually posh in a music video was in the "Stop" music video. She looked so cool and modern and beyond her time in her obsidian black suit, slick, jet black bob (while Rihanna was still in Barbados turning tricks), and thick cross necklace. In every other video, she looked like tacky, street-walking trash, but only looked "posh" by comparison to her other bandmates because they had even worse taste.
