Hopefully her team has learned how the new chart works and will release the song and video on the same day and get her a good radio deal. That will at least ensure a good peak. The best way to ensure longevity after that is to release a good song that will sell on its own without promo (assuming she doesn't plan on promoting).

The only promo she ever needed was a music video. I mean, when you think about it all of her hits in the digital era (minus Gimme More) were big and started off strong without any major performances (Piece of Me, Womanizer, Circus, 3, HIAM, TTWE, IWG). And people will say that she needs them now but clearly it doesn't make a difference if the song isn't up to par (PG/BBMA). So w/ Brit it's all about delivering something marketable and good and following it up with a video released at the right time.
