What Merkel does with the quotas is more of an attempt to cool the situation within Germany in my opinion it's a no brainier that this is no solution considering their real numbers and the preferences of those immigrants as you pointed out.

I believe most German voters see beyond the quota trash in like 5 seconds. Whatever Merkel does now it doesn't matter, she is in **** politically.

today in the swiss newspapers it said there have been slightly more (legal i think) afghan immigrants than syrians to switzerland cause in germany it takes ages for non syrians to get processed since the german fast track treatmeant only applies to syrians and the waitlist for others is long. there is a bit of an afghan community here as well while syrians are kinda non existant might play a part i guess. since september 13th 181 syrians and 195 afghan thought it was interesting.

any news on the croatia/slovenia situation?

Urgh, I really am losing sympathy completely for this migrants.

Look at the MESS they created in the countries they're traipsing through. The violence and intimidation that's gome with it. The majority of these migrants are wanting better jobs and prospects, NOT fleeing from war. We in Europe can't accomodate all of them.
