Suffer, rapist.

He has a song in the Top 10 right now (Locked Away) and had "Sugar" go Top 10 earlier this year, but you are kinda right.
It's weird how Max Martin just dropped Luke and began delivering countless mega hits to everyone (Ariana, Taylor, The Weeknd, Ellie G, etc) by himself.

Alot of artists have their career "built" by one or a few producers.

'Katy's entire career revolves around Dr. Luke' is referring to EVERYTHING she has released in her entire career has Dr. Luke credits.
Not even 1/2 of Gaga's music has RedOne credits. Her career isn't revolved around him. He gave her the career and her peak, but it's not revolved around him.

Not her career without Redone being more significant than others whole careers

Glad you know how this works.

That's a privilege?

lol she's definitely not unknown (she's like one of the top artists on Spotify) and everyone on social media knows her and her music. BTD is one of the biggest records of the decade.
But that doesn't make her a pop star or a major artist. It's why I find comparing her to the other pop girls so weird.

How is performing at the Oscars not a privilege?...
I'm sure if Katy was given the offer she'd happily take it.

Is anyone listening to this "Hysteria" album from Katharine McPhee?
Some of these songs are kind of good. "Break" is sweet.
The album sounds like "E•MO•TION" if Carly Rae Jepsen could sing.

Her biggest and most recognized records are produced by him. Just Dance, Poker Face, and Bad Romance.
I didn't mean she hasn't achieved ANYTHING else without him but her most substantial success is due to him. Just like Katy's is due to Dr. Luke and Max Martin.

No offense, but I've never heard of someone citing an oscars performance as a career highlight

The Fad haters sure seem to feel the need to prove something in all of these threads. Whew, lord. They need to give it up eventually.

It's not like Max Martin ever needed Dr. Luke to begin with.
But yeah, Dr. Luke is over in terms of Billboard hits. Gaga wrote a boring song,
but Kesha takes rapists down in court in a double-edged sword of glory.

It's not like it's a negative thing, though. Janet had Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis on almost all her records, too.
Didn't MJ use one producer for everything too for all his classic albums?

I'm not saying her biggest hits aren't from him but if you take Dr. Luke away from Katy you just have Firework....
You said that we can't say that about Katy since Gaga owes her career to RedOne but she has way more than one song after you take RedOne away.

Well as a Britney/Katy/Kardashian hybrid, I'm sure you haven't even heard of someone who's performed at the Oscars to begin with.

Most of the most viewed Oscar videos are performances but they are usually the openings.
