Her personality is sickening. I was obsessed with her until mid last year. Her using her "struggles" to gain pity from everyone was the last straw. She goes on twitter rants crying about how she's under exposed and that she deserves more and how she won't release a pop song just for a hit then proceeds to release the worst song of 2014 aka Cool For The Summer.

She's extremely manipulative and whiney.

A good example of how a good personality will get you a LONNNGGG way is Selena Gomez. She might not have the vocals Demi has(had) but the general public adores her. She's extremely relatable and giving, rarely complains about anything and constantly praises everyone around her. Such a beautiful soul.

I think it's because of the promo plan. For "Confident", you can't just expect a song that has been leaked for a month to smash right away without promo tho.

The thing is, Demi is capable of so many genres, and has tried a lot of them.
RnB - All Night Long, Who's That Boy, MLILAS
Bubblegum Pop - RDC, STWN
Pop - CFTS, Heart Attack
Ballads - Ok there's a MASSIVE list....
Pop/Rock - DF/HWGA eras

The GP just doesn't seem to latch onto them But if she goes all Ariana with the promo, she will smash imo. She just needs to have that 1 giant platform, which I'm sure we're getting in this era. Confident (song) is accessible to the GP, radio friendly, easy on her vocals so live performances will be good quality, I think we're heading in the right direction.

This. I'm literally hearing it everywhere! Confident has been leaked for a month and it's still Top 40. The album itself is still Top 40. Much higher than Revival (#127). I don't mean that in a shady way at all, but GFY is SMASHING in Australia so idk why Confident's pre orders are higher. She must really be gaining ground.

P!nk, Avril, Kelly, etc have all had great success with pop/rock.

All of this. I was a demi stan (believe it or not) till Around somewhere in 2014. She started mess for no reason and just became.... yikes.

Her music is good (i hate to admit it but CFTS and Confident slayed me) but she's trying SOOO hard to copy Miley that everybody can smell it.
