My first thoughts as well. It makes sense though, since obviously ARTPOP wasn't as successful as Gaga and the label thought it would be, maybe more money still has to be made to cover their losses? Idk I'm speculating, I've just always seen charity singles be promoted as giving all the proceeds to the cause at hand.
OT: Wow I forgot Bey was the main reason the global release date changed to Friday. Again, definitely her!
Beyoncé also had a higher charting single than her in their most recent eras too, so there goes that argument.
to Gaga here though, glad the rape victims will be getting some of the proceeds. Not sure why all of the proceeds aren't being donated, seeing as it's a charity single, but that's another matter
